One evening an old Cherokee Indian told his grandson about a debate that goes on inside people. He said, “My grandson, the battle is between two “wolves” inside us all.
One wolf is Evil. It is angry, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, resentment, lies, guilt, inferiority, superiority, ego, and false pride.
The other wolf is Good. It is love, serenity, joy, kindness, humility, benevolence, empathy, truth, generosity, hope and faith.
The grandson thought about it for a few minutes and then asked his grandfather; “Which wolf wins?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed”.
